What the fee actually covers
One-on-one time
You see the same practitioner for the full appointment. No double-booked rooms, no being handed to an assistant halfway through.
Assessment, not guesswork
History, orthopaedic and neurological testing, movement and load testing, and a referral for imaging only when it will change the plan.
Hands-on plus homework
Manual therapy, adjustments, soft tissue and dry needling where indicated, with the exercises and load advice that keep the change.
A written plan
What is going on, how long it should take, what we are measuring, and when we review it.
A follow-up call
A phone call a few days after your first visit to check how you responded, at no extra cost.
Rebates processed here
HICAPS on the spot for private health extras, so you pay the gap and walk out.
Rebates, referrals and Medicare
Private health. If your extras cover includes chiropractic, we swipe your card through HICAPS at the end of the visit and you pay only the gap. The rebate depends on your fund, your level of cover and how much of your annual limit you have used. If you want an exact figure before booking, call your fund and quote item code 131 for an initial visit and 132 for a standard visit.
No referral needed. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Australia. You can book directly.
Medicare EPC. If your GP has put you on an Enhanced Primary Care plan for a chronic condition, bring the referral form and we will process it. Medicare pays a set rebate per visit for a limited number of visits each calendar year, and the balance of the fee is payable by you.
Cancellations. Free to move or cancel up to 12 hours out. The $60 initial-appointment deposit comes off the price of the visit.

How much does a chiropractor cost in Sydney?
Across Sydney, an initial chiropractic consultation typically runs from about $90 to $190 and follow-up visits from about $70 to $140, depending on suburb and appointment length. At Chiro Central in Crows Nest the initial appointment is $160 for 45 minutes and a standard appointment is $120 for 30 minutes.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly without a GP referral. A referral is only needed if you are claiming under a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan arranged by your GP.
Can I claim chiropractic on private health insurance?
Yes, if your policy includes extras cover for chiropractic. We process private health rebates on the spot with HICAPS, so you only pay the gap. The rebate amount depends on your fund and level of cover.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on the problem, how long it has been there and what you need to get back to. After your initial assessment you get a plan with an expected number of visits and review points, not an open-ended commitment. Many straightforward presentations are reviewed within four to six visits.
Is there a deposit or cancellation fee?
A $60 deposit is required to hold an initial appointment, and it comes off the cost of that visit. You can reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before your appointment.
Do you accept WorkCover, DVA or third-party insurance?
No. We do not accept WorkCover, DVA or third-party (motor accident) claims. Fees are paid at the time of the appointment.
