Where we are, exactly

Chiro Central is at 455 Pacific Hwy, Crows Nest NSW 2065, inside PT Central. That puts us on the highway itself rather than tucked into the Willoughby Road strip, so you can find us on the first attempt and you are not hunting through the back streets with a sore back.

From Crows Nest Metro station it is roughly a one minute walk. Take the Pacific Highway entrance rather than the Clarke Street side, come up to street level, and we are on the same stretch of highway. Since the Metro opened in August 2024, patients from Chatswood, Victoria Cross and the CBD can be in the door in under fifteen minutes, which is why we hold early morning and 7pm-ish slots on Monday and Thursday for people commuting either side of work.

Driving in, the useful thing to know is that the Pacific Highway metered bays turn over quickly but the side streets between the highway and Willoughby Road are mostly one and two hour ticketed zones on weekdays. Read the signage: the restrictions change street by street around Hume Street, Alexander Street and Falcon Street. Evening appointments are the easy ones to park for.

Walking directions from the Metro

  • Exit Crows Nest Metro at the Pacific Highway entrance and turn onto the highway footpath.
  • Continue along the highway to number 455, on the same side as the Metro entrance.
  • Look for the PT Central signage at street level. Chiro Central sits inside the facility.
  • Coming from St Leonards station instead? Cross to the eastern side of the Pacific Highway and walk south for about five minutes past the St Leonards office towers.
  • Coming down Willoughby Road from Naremburn or Willoughby? Cut across at Hume Street or Falcon Street and you are on the highway in two or three minutes.

Why being inside a gym changes the treatment

Most chiropractic rooms end at the door. Ours opens onto a gym floor, which means rehab is tested in front of us with the actual weight rather than prescribed on a printout and hoped for. If your back complains at the bottom of a squat, we load the squat and watch it. If a runner's hip gives way at fatigue, we fatigue it and look again.

Crows Nest is dense with people who train: the lunchtime lifters from the St Leonards and North Sydney office towers, the Willoughby Road hospitality crowd on their feet for ten hour shifts, the parents squeezing sessions in around school drop off, and a steady stream of runners doing loops through Hume Street Park and down towards the harbour. Those groups break in fairly predictable ways, and the plan should look different for each of them.

Tell us what you actually do in a week. A plan that ignores your Tuesday night football or your 6am class is a plan you will abandon by the second week.

Low back pain that flares in a training block

Usually deadlifts, squats or a sudden jump in running volume. We settle it, find the loading error, and rebuild the pattern so it holds.

Questions from Crows Nest patients

How close is the clinic to Crows Nest Metro station?

About a one minute walk. Crows Nest Metro opened in August 2024 with entrances on Clarke Street and the Pacific Highway, and Chiro Central is at 455 Pacific Hwy, inside PT Central, on the same stretch of highway.

Where do I park in Crows Nest?

There is metered parking along the Pacific Highway and timed parking through the side streets between the highway and Willoughby Road, including around Hume Street and Alexander Street. Check the signs before you leave the car, as most of the Crows Nest grid is one or two hour ticketed parking on weekdays. If you are coming after 6pm on a Monday, Wednesday or Thursday the side streets free up considerably.

Do I need a referral?

No. Chiropractors are primary contact practitioners in Australia, so you can book directly. Bring a GP referral only if you are claiming through a Medicare Enhanced Primary Care plan.

Can I train straight after an appointment?

Usually, and being inside PT Central makes that easy. We will tell you what to load and what to leave alone that day. If we have done a lot of hands-on work, we often ask you to keep the session light and save the heavy set for the next one.

What does it cost?

The initial appointment is $160 for 45 minutes and standard appointments are $120 for 30 minutes. Private health rebates are processed on the spot with HICAPS. Full fees are on the pricing page.
