Getting here from North Sydney

Chiro Central is at 455 Pacific Hwy, Crows Nest NSW 2065, inside PT Central. North Sydney is the next major centre south, so almost every patient has three workable options.

  • Metro: Victoria Cross to Crows Nest, then about a one minute walk to the clinic on the Pacific Highway.
  • Train: North Sydney station on the T1 North Shore or T9 Northern line, one stop to St Leonards, then a five minute walk south along the eastern side of the highway.
  • Bus: the Military Road and Miller Street services connect North Sydney to the Crows Nest village, a two to three minute walk from the clinic.
  • Car: straight up the Pacific Highway, five to eight minutes outside peak, longer between 5pm and 6:30pm.
  • Walking or riding: it is roughly a 25 minute walk or a short ride up the highway corridor through Crows Nest.

Parking near the clinic

If you are used to North Sydney's commercial car parks, the Crows Nest end of the highway is a different game. There are metered bays directly along the Pacific Highway and ticketed one and two hour zones in the grid between the highway and Willoughby Road, including Hume Street, Alexander Street and Falcon Street. Restrictions change from street to street and the signage is the authority, so check the plate before walking away.

For a 45 minute initial appointment, aim for a two hour zone or a highway meter. Evening appointments after 6pm on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday are the easiest to park for.

The North Sydney load pattern

North Sydney is one of the largest office districts in the country, and the presentations that come out of it are consistent. Neck and upper back pain that builds through the week and eases on holidays. Lower back pain that appears in the third set of a Tuesday night session after eight hours in a chair. Headaches that start at the base of the skull by Thursday afternoon.

None of that is a mystery, and none of it is fixed by being told to sit up straight. The useful questions are how much total load your week contains, where it is concentrated, and what your tissues have been prepared for. We assess, treat the structures that are actually irritated, then rebuild capacity so the same Thursday does not keep producing the same headache.

Plenty of North Sydney patients also train seriously outside work, whether that is running through St Leonards Park and North Sydney Oval, harbourside loops down towards Milsons Point and the North Sydney Olympic Pool, or lifting before work. Because the clinic sits inside PT Central, rehab is tested with real weight on the gym floor rather than prescribed on paper.

Questions from North Sydney patients

How do I get to the clinic from North Sydney station?

North Sydney station is on the T1 North Shore and T9 Northern lines. The quickest run is one stop north to St Leonards then a five minute walk south along the eastern side of the Pacific Highway, or the Metro from Victoria Cross to Crows Nest, which puts you about a minute from the door. Driving up the Pacific Highway from North Sydney takes five to eight minutes outside peak.

Can I get an appointment before work in the CBD?

Yes. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday start at 7:30am, which leaves plenty of time to be at a desk in North Sydney or the CBD by nine. Monday and Thursday also run to 7:30pm for after-work bookings.

Where do I park?

Metered bays run along the Pacific Highway outside the clinic, with ticketed one and two hour zones on the side streets towards Willoughby Road. Restrictions vary street by street, so check the signage. Parking is much easier for evening appointments after 6pm.

I sit in meetings all day and train three times a week. Is that the problem?

Often it is the combination, not either half. Nine hours of near-zero movement followed by a high-intensity session gives tissues no middle gear. Part of the plan is usually redistributing the week rather than removing the training.

What will it cost me?

Initial appointment $160 for 45 minutes, standard appointment $120 for 30 minutes, with private health rebates processed on the spot. Everything is listed on the pricing page.
